My bespoke service begins with an informal chat on the phone or by video call (or by email if you prefer) to answer any questions you may have about having a dress made for you. My initial face to face meeting is for me to take your measurements and to discuss your ideas for what you would like for your special day. Before this meeting I will suggest that you visit some Bridal Shops to have a solid idea of what you like, what suits you and what you definitely don't want. You should also have any inspiration to hand for this meeting, such as magazine snippets, moodboards or online references.

During this meeting I will make simple sketches alongside you, which will enable me to go away to start designing your dress with a strong understanding of what you want.

After this meeting I will be able to provide you with an approximate quote for your bespoke dress. The exact price will be determined by the fabric and embellishments that you choose.

If at this point you would like to proceed I will request a £150 deposit to proceed with research, purchasing fabric samples and working on detailed designs of your dress.

In our second meeting I will have fabric samples and a minimum of four designs for you. This meeting gives me an opportunity to make any tweaks to my designs and for you to choose the fabrics you would like.

We will also have your first fitting at this point. Using your measurements I will have prepared a basic mock up garment called a toile in cotton fabric that I will pin to fit your body shape. During this fitting you decide on details such as neckline shaping, sleeve lengths and any additional garments like boleros or jackets. At this fitting you should be wearing the undergarments that you plan to be wearing at your wedding as well as the correct shoe height.

With a chosen final design and your fabric preferences I will be able to provide you with an exact quote for your dress.

At this point I will require 50% of the overall cost to commence work.

At our next fitting, you will have a better idea of how your dress is looking as it will be made from your chosen fabrics. This fitting is for me to refine the fit of the dress and for us to discuss any embellishments being added and ensure you are happy with the development of your dress.

Two to three fittings are usually required to achieve the perfect fit.  Dependent on the complexity of your dress, more fittings may be required before your final fitting and pick up day. The complexity of your dress will be discussed in the early stages so you will already have a good idea of how many fittings may be required.

On completion of your dress, I will send you a final invoice for the third and final payment. This is to be paid before I deliver the dress to you.
